Privacy Policy
The Short Version
We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't sell your data to anyone. This is a site that publishes articles; you read them and leave. What we do have is standard analytics telling us which pages get read, and affiliate tracking that tells a merchant we referred you if you click through and buy. If you email us, we keep the email so we can reply to it. That's the whole thing.
Who We Are
World Reviews operates the website at world-reviews.site. You can reach us through our contact page.
What We Collect
Information you give us
If you contact us, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your email address and your message. We use it to reply and for nothing else. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't have one.
Information collected automatically
Like essentially every website, our servers and analytics record technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the pages you viewed and how long you stayed, and the site that referred you. This is aggregate data about traffic. We use it to understand which articles are useful and to keep the site working — not to identify you personally.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. This site may use:
- Essential cookies — needed for the site to function.
- Analytics cookies — anonymous or pseudonymous data about which pages get read.
- Affiliate tracking cookies — set when you click a link to a merchant's store, so the merchant knows we referred you and credits the commission. This is what makes the site free to read.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them will not stop you reading anything here.
Third Parties
Some things on this site are provided by others, and their own privacy policies apply when you interact with them:
- Merchants and BuyGoods — when you click an affiliate link and leave our site, you are on their site under their policy. Any purchase, payment or account you create there is between you and them. We never see or handle your payment details.
- Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from Google's servers, which involves a request from your browser to Google.
- Analytics providers — standard traffic measurement.
- Our hosting provider — maintains server logs as part of operating the site.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to the merchants we link to.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live — particularly under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California — you may have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we process it, or opt out of any sale of personal information. On that last one: there is nothing to opt out of, because we do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these, contact us. Realistically, unless you have emailed us, we are unlikely to hold anything that identifies you.
Data Retention
Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to handle your query and any follow-up. Analytics data is retained in aggregate. Cookies expire on schedules set by the browser and the relevant third party.
Children
This site covers men's health topics and is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we hold, including serving this site over HTTPS. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — nobody honestly can.
Changes
If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
